In the ancient capital, open a door to Chang'an | Xi'an Lanfeng Hotel

🌲 From the bustling roundabout in front of Yongning Gate, once you pass the archway of Xiangzi Street, the world becomes quiet, and even time seems slower than outside. The only Taoist temple in Xi'an ancient city, Xiangzi Temple, is located here. We originally came for Xiangzi Temple, but we accidentally discovered an old house next to it, the Zhao Family Courtyard, which was left by one of the four major families in Xi'an - the Zhao family. Standing at the entrance of Xiangzi Temple, you can see the entire Zhao Family Courtyard under the cover of ancient trees, which looks so heavy and simple. The two stone lions seem to be telling the whispers of time under the sunlight. 🏠 After deciding to stay here, open the gate of the courtyard, and you will be greeted by the enthusiastic front desk lady. As she led us to our room, she introduced us to the past and present of this courtyard. It is said that this Zhao family is the descendant of Zhao Kuangyin, the founding emperor of the Song Dynasty; it is said that when Empress Dowager Cixi fled to the west, the descendants of the Zhao family had received her in this courtyard; now this is the only courtyard left by the four major families in Xi'an that can be stayed in... The lady was proud to introduce, but she was also modestly saying: 'I can't tell it well, there are too many stories, it would be great if our boss was here, he knows everything.' 🌆 From the front hall to the room, you have to pass through a courtyard full of flowers and trees, with a strong ancient charm. It was just when the afternoon sun was shining through the trees, the feeling was really great. Further inside, there is a restaurant, a patio, and various old objects related to the ancient capital Chang'an... Going up, there is a terrace level with the Xi'an city wall. 🍂 After resting in the room for a while, the housekeeper asked via WeChat if we needed to enjoy afternoon tea. So we came to that courtyard full of ancient charm, soaked in the warm autumn sun, enjoying this rare leisure in life. At sunset, we went up to the rooftop to look around, just as a few people in Hanfu were walking leisurely on the city wall. Under the setting sun, the evening breeze blew, and there was a feeling of traveling back to the Tang Dynasty Chang'an. 😄 My friend said that being able to stay in such a courtyard in the ancient capital Chang'an was really a surprise of this trip to Xi'an. 🏨 About the hotel: 📍Location: No. 16 Xiangzi Temple Street, Beilin District The location of the hotel is excellent, at the foot of the city wall, next to Yongning Gate, and next to Xiangzi Temple, within walking distance to the Bell and Drum Tower. There are plenty of food and coffee options around, and the classic Xi'an city walk route Xiangzi Temple Street is right outside. 💁Service: The hotel's service can be described as amazing. Although deliverymen cannot enter the accommodation area, hotel staff will deliver it directly to the room. After a whole day of walking on the second day, we were really tired, and the service staff immediately sent us foot bath tools! Not to mention the L'Occitane toiletries in the room and the exquisite and filling breakfast. By the way, we also saw a female guest checking out, and the service staff went directly to the room to help carry the suitcase! 🚗Transportation: There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, and it is an 8-minute walk from Yongningmen subway station.
