Stunning Huangling Ancient Town & Terraces

Huangling Village is a highlight of traveling to Wuyuan! It’s especially beautiful in March when the yellow flowers are blooming, but also great in autumn and other times of the year. There’s the ancient town to explore with lots of shops, handicrafts, tea and coffee, and more. Then there are lots of paths up and down the town where you can explore more and get away from the crowds. Getting There: You can take a train to Wuyuan, or fly into Huangshan Airport or Jingdezhen Airport. Then take a car or taxi to the Huangling Scenic Area. Depending on where you start from, there are cable cars you can take up the mountain, or a short walking path up stairs and across a beautiful bridge to get to the village. There is ziplining also available. The entrance ticket costs 130 RMB, and I would recommend at least several hours to explore. Many people paid Huangling with other villages around Wuyuan, like Jiangling. There are hotels in the ancient area, but we stayed in a hotel outside the ancient area, which made it convenient for leaving early in the morning for a flight the next day. It was definitely more crowded on this weekend in March because it’s peak season for the flowers, so avoid weekends if you can.
