Guo Songnian Manor, also known as Guo's Manor, covers an area of about 2,800 square meters and a building area of about 2,741 square meters. It was built in the ninth year of the Republic of China (1920), costing 180,000 silver dollars and took five years to complete. The manor is located in the northeast and southwest, and the traditional courtyard layout is used in the plane layout, and the plane is in the shape of "eye". The main house has three floors, the auxiliary house has two floors, and there are 99 rooms in total. There are 10 rooms on the left and right sides of the gate, 29 rooms in the upper and lower halls, 40 rooms on both sides, 14 rooms in the back row, 4 turrets at the four corners, and 2 bathrooms. The entire building is square and strictly symmetrical. The front and back courtyards absorb a lot of Western architectural styles based on Lingnan architecture. The entire manor, surrounded by the wing room and the turret, is like a fortress. There is a half-moon pond in front of the courtyard, and there is a large paddy field on three sides. The manor is a brick and stone mixed structure with typical Ming and Qing architectural features. Upstairs and downstairs, surrounded by corridors, green porcelain railings; patio cross corridors, house-to-house. The left and right wing rooms are symmetrical, and the middle patio is connected by a corridor. The outer wall and the four corner turrets form a protective barrier. The front wall of the building and the upper and lower door lintels and window heads are decorated with gray sculptures of flowers, birds, insects, fish and beasts, with a wide range of themes. The Wuxuan Guo's Manor is a special physical relic left by the Hakka people in the multi-ethnic settlement in the hinterland of Guangxi during the turbulent period from the middle of the Qing Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. It provides important materials for studying the westward migration and development of the Hakka people, as well as the cultural collision of Han, Zhuang, Yao and other ethnic groups. It is also a valuable material for studying regional houses in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and has high historical, cultural and social value.
