The cherry blossoms at Wuxi's Turtle Head Isle are in full bloom, making it a world-class cherry blossom viewing destination

Turtle Head Isle is located on the shores of Lake Tai in the lakeside district of Wuxi, and is a 5A-rated tourist spot. It is named for its shape resembling a turtle head emerging from the water and represents the essence of Lake Tai's scenery. Not only does it boast magnificent views of lakes and mountains, but it also has a rich cultural and historical significance. The picturesque scenery has earned it the reputation of being 'the number one spot of Lake Tai'. Especially towards the end of March each year, Turtle Head Isle attracts crowds of tourists to admire the cherry blossoms. Now, various types of cherry blossoms such as Kawazu-zakura, Oshima-zakura, and Campanula cherry trees have bloomed, turning the entire area into a sea of pink flowers. Some visitors say that it's even more beautiful than Japan's cherry blossoms. From mid-March to early April, the whole Turtle Head Isle will be covered with a sea of pink and white blossoms. The trees are full of blooming cherry blossoms, and petals fall like a beautiful shower, truly deserving of its title as China's number one cherry blossom viewing spot and one of the top three in the world. Suggested cherry blossom viewing route: Enter from the Chongshan Gate — Cherry Blossom Valley — Jiangnan Orchid Garden — Changchun Bridge — Turtle Isle Spring Waves — Wanlang Rolling Snow — Guangfu Temple. The Turtle Head Isle scenic area opens at 8 am. If you want to take pictures with fewer people, you'll need to go early.
