Wuhan Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide
The best place to witness the beauty of Wuhan's cherry blossoms is none other than the East Lake Cherry Garden.
The East Lake Cherry Garden is located within the East Lake Scenic Area in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, covering an area of about 150 acres. It is one of the largest cherry blossom viewing bases in Wuhan. From late March to early April each year, the cherry blossoms here bloom vigorously, attracting tens of thousands of tourists to come and enjoy.
Walking into the cherry garden is like entering a pink fairy tale world. The trees are full of blossoms, and the delicate petals sway gently in the breeze, emitting a faint fragrance that intoxicates the senses. Strolling along the path, one can see cherry blossoms of different varieties competing for beauty on the branches, with pink, white, and red colors, dazzling and overwhelmingly beautiful.
In addition to the splendid cherry trees, there is also the majestic Yellow Crane Tower. Standing in front of the Yellow Crane Tower, I seem to hear the chanting of the ancients and feel the weight of history. Every brick and tile on the tower tells a story, immersing one involuntarily in its cultural essence.
I flew to Wuhan specifically for this photo!!
【📷 A trip to Wuhan, the story of 18 photos】
My purpose of flying to Wuhan was just for those 18 photos. The beautiful scenery of this city is so attractive that I embarked on a special forces-like journey, shuttling through the streets and alleys of Wuhan, and finally got the 18 photos I liked. When I posted them on my circle of friends, local friends were amazed and said they had never seen such beautiful scenery.
Now, I share my journey with you, so that you can also glimpse the style of Wuhan.

Another one is the Yellow Crane Tower and the Greenland Center in the same frame, the camera position is near the Fuxing Road subway station. Another one is shot in the air above the Yangsigang Bridge, the scenery is magnificent. Another one is shot under the bridge, which has a different flavor.

A day out in Wuhan
Upon climbing to the top of the Yellow Crane Tower, the whole of Wuhan reveals it's true beauty. Fill yourself up with enough hot dry noodles 热干面 and that should give you enough energy to explore the this historic site.
If you still have time for more, then head over to the East Lake and witness another beautiful site. If your legs are tired at this point, then hire one of the many bikes available around the park.
When evening comes, why not visit Jianghan Street for a taste of Europe in the heart of Wuhan. With many designer stores, coffee shops and restaurant, it's a perfect place to finish your trip.

The cherry blossoms in Wuhan will romantically bloom across the city in March, along with a cherry blossom viewing guide
Wuhan's spring is just too beautiful, with cherry blossoms blooming everywhere, whether it's by the roadside, at bus stations, in parks, or at universities, you can enjoy this romantic scenery. If you don't believe it, why not take a trip and experience it for yourself? I've put together the latest 2024 cherry blossom viewing guide for everyone, so be sure to save it! 👏
🌸 East Lake Cherry Garden (admission fee): The garden has over ten thousand cherry trees and is an excellent place to view cherry blossoms in Wuhan. Despite the constant flow of people, the beauty of the cherry garden is still captivating. Currently, only the early cherry blossoms are in bloom, and to see the whole garden in full bloom, you'll have to wait until around March 20th.
🌸 Wuhan University (free but reservation by phone 📱 required): Early cherry blossoms have bloomed near Luojia Villa and the entrance of Teaching Building 5, but they have started to wither, while the cherry blossoms near Cherry Blossom Castle have not yet bloomed, but the buds are already visible, expected to bloom around March 20th.
🌸 Xibeihu Square (free): There are about 500 cherry trees by the lake, where you can take photos of the romantic cherry blossom avenue, full of ambiance.
🌸 Xiyuan Park (free): There are several large cherry trees on the lakeside green lawn, suitable for picnics, and you can take pictures of the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms and the lake.
🌸 Turtle Mountain Park (free): The hillside is covered with pink cherry blossoms, and although the trees are slightly smaller, the blooming scene is equally charming. Here you can take photos of the cherry blossoms with the Turtle Mountain TV Tower 🗼 in the same frame, and from the top, you can see the Parrot Island Bridge, the Yangtze River Bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower, and other famous sights.
🌸 Qingchuan Pavilion (free): Located opposite Turtle Mountain, you can check in here as well. The cherry trees here blend perfectly with the surrounding environment, and the photo effect has a strong Japanese style.
Before taking photos, why not visit Grandpa Doesn't Make Tea, a flower-themed store, to buy this year's new cherry blossom 🌸 products, available in three flavors: Spring Return·Cherry Blossom, Spring Return·Cherry Snow, and Spring Return·Cherry Longan. I tried the Cherry Longan, and with each sip, you can taste the sweetness of the longan fruit, and the fragrant milk tea pairs perfectly with 'Fresh Flowers'. Hurry up and take a photo with the cherry blossoms - my heart, I just can't let go ❤
It's suggested that everyone plan to come to Wuhan to view the cherry blossoms around March 20th. Due to the impact of freezing rain, the blossoms this year are relatively late, so plan your time wisely, Wuhan definitely won't disappoint you!

Wuhan has now become a legendary place, and one must prepare their cherry blossom viewing strategy in advance
Wuhan's cherry blossoms wait for no one, miss it and you'll have to wait another year! Wuhan has truly become legendary at this time. As I got off at Hankou Station, it seemed like a large number of people got off the high-speed train as well, mostly to see the cherry blossoms, right?
So, you must prepare your strategy well to have a good time!
🌸 Donghu Cherry Blossom Garden is a must-visit for cherry blossom viewing in Wuhan.
🚗 For those driving themselves, it's advised to arrive as early as possible, otherwise, it will be hard to find a parking spot, and the roads will also be congested. It's a good idea to bring some snacks when entering the park.
🚇 From Hankou Station, you can take the subway line 2 to Baotong Temple Station, then transfer to bus 413.
📸 You can use drones in the Cherry Blossom Garden (at least I saw many planes flying without security stopping them), but it's best to keep them within your line of sight due to potential signal interference, which can easily cause them to enter attitude mode. It's best not to take off or land in crowded areas.
💡 Besides enjoying the flowers, there are also small performances at scheduled times and locations within the scenic area. Pay attention to the broadcast announcements after entering the park, each performance lasts about 10-20 minutes.
💰 Ticket price: 60 RMB per person (55 RMB if booked online)
🏨 Accommodations should also be arranged in advance, as good rooms are hard to come by during cherry blossom season. I stayed at the Wuhan Guangming Marriott Hotel, which is only a 10-minute drive from the East Lake Scenic Area. Without an early booking during the cherry blossom season, it's definitely hard to find a room.
📌 Some hotel staff wear a 'Navigator' badge. These Marriott Navigators can tell you about the authentic local flavors and niche spots that locals love to visit. My City Walk was guided by their advice.

Traveling to Wuhan with my girlfriend
Traveling in Wuhan in October
Picture one: The photos taken at the Gude Temple in Wuhan are very impressive, it's a great place for check-in and photography
Picture two: At the place where we stayed, there is a crab street next to it. The crabs are very cheap, but if your home is far away, don't mail them (the postage is expensive). They can steam them on the spot and give you dipping sauce, which is really fresh.
Picture three: We went under the Wuhan Bridge, where you can take a walk, but there are really a lot of mosquitoes in October. I was bitten a lot.
Picture four: My girlfriend
Picture five: There are many commercial complexes in Wuhan and they are indeed quite large. It is recommended to check in advance which complex to go to, otherwise you will have to run around.
Picture six: I remember these two restaurants seem to be quite famous (forgot ), but maybe it's my personal reason, after eating spicy crabs, I got acute gastroenteritis (which led to a hospital visit, due to time constraints, many places didn't go to wash regret, can only go again next time), lotus root soup is still very delicious!

The temple was founded by Longxi in the third year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the QingDynasty. The temple covers an area of nearly 30000 square meters and the construction area is nearly 8000 square meters. The temple combines the characteristics of Eurasian religious architecture and
integrates the three major Buddhist schools of Mahayana Hinayana and Tibetan Tantric. It is known as"one of the wonders of a Buddhist resort and the first wonder of a Buddhist temple in the Han Dynasty.
The architectural style of Gude Temple is pretty unique . Most tourists go there to pray and pay their respects . Experiencing the Buddhist religion as well as seeing monks go about their daily life was worth it . I got to see a different aspect of religion
No need to buy tickets to enter and you can stay about half an hour to tour around .
