Day Trip | Worthing The rainy days in November can be exhausting, so when the sun finally comes out, it's time to escape London and head to the seaside town of Worthing for a weekend getaway. Worthing is located in southern England, between the cities of Brighton, known for its Seven Sisters Cliffs, and Portsmouth. The town has two train stations with convenient connections to other towns. It takes less than 1.5 hours to reach Worthing from London Victoria by train. ▲ Worthing is nestled between the mountains and the sea, offering picturesque views. The town is filled with rows of two-story houses, both terraced and detached, with some featuring uniform colors and others showcasing vibrant hues. The sound of the waves adds to the lively atmosphere, creating a harmonious blend. Each house has a garden with flowers and outdoor furniture for gatherings with friends, creating a sense of paradise. The town may be small, but it has everything you need. The commercial street is lined with shops, making life convenient, and there is even a theater. Worthing hosts several international events each year, such as the Worthing International Birdman competition in the summer, where participants jump into the sea from the end of the pier. It's quite thrilling. Worthing shares the same coastline as Brighton, but while Brighton is a popular tourist destination, Worthing remains relatively unknown, offering a rare sense of tranquility and comfort. During this trip, I was fortunate enough to witness both the sunrise and sunset, and those few minutes of silent contemplation made me reflect on the fleeting nature of life. One of the highlights of Worthing's seaside is the scattered fishing boats, which are a feast for the eyes with their vibrant colors (as shown in the picture). Near the boats, there are stalls selling fresh seafood, open from 10 am daily, offering the freshest catch of the day, including various fish, shrimp, and crabs. The prices are reasonable, and the taste is exceptional. The fishmongers are skilled and can clean the seafood according to customers' requests on the spot. In addition to fresh seafood, there are also ready-to-eat seafood stalls. The residents here are truly blessed with delicious food.
