Iceland | A Symphony of Nature.

I've seen many waterfalls in Iceland, and if you ask me which one I like the most, the Lava Waterfalls (Hraunfossar) definitely hold a special place in my heart. Although they are not as towering as other large waterfalls, the sight of countless streams flowing out from the lava fields to form this group of waterfalls is also incredibly majestic. The sound of the flowing water is like a symphony of nature. Upstream of the Lava Waterfalls is the Children's Waterfalls (Barnafossar), but the name does not come from the gentleness or cuteness of its flow. Instead, there is a story behind it. Two boys from a nearby farm, wanting to secretly follow their parents to church, took a shortcut across a natural stone bridge above the waterfall. Unfortunately, they fell into the rapid river and drowned. Heartbroken, their mother cast a spell on the bridge to protect all who crossed it from accidents.
