The passionate final of the 2024 Mongolian Horse Super League kicks off

Cool summer invites you, with a fiery showdown of horse racing. On the morning of July 3rd, the 2024 Xilingol Mongolian Horse Super League final passionately began in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner, known as the "Hometown of White Horses" in China. The beautiful Wuzhumuqin Grassland was adorned with colorful flags, filled with the sounds of people and horses, creating an atmosphere of excitement and harmony. After multiple rounds of competition, over 500 riders from across the league stood on the final stage for the ultimate showdown, attracting more than 2,000 enthusiastic spectators from all over the country. Xilingol League grandly hosts the Mongolian Horse Super League to vigorously promote the spirit of the Mongolian horse, enrich the cultural and spiritual life of the masses, boost the income and prosperity of herders, and create a large-scale mass horse-themed event, driving the high-quality development of the modern horse industry throughout the league. In recent years, Xilingol League has leveraged its rich horse culture resources and solid horse industry foundation, continuously expanding horse culture tourism projects, actively developing horse-themed tourism products, striving to improve horse-themed tourism service levels, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the horse industry and horse-themed tourism structure, gradually accelerating the horse industry across the league, and making great efforts to invigorate the horse industry, continuously enhancing the reputation and influence of the vast Xilingol Grassland. At the opening ceremony, accompanied by stirring music and cheers from the audience, 99 people rode white horses to escort the national flag into the venue. The bright red five-star national flag was solemn and majestic, and the white horse flag guard team marched proudly and spiritedly, vividly demonstrating the passionate atmosphere of the grassland people’s loyalty to the Party and their united efforts to guard the border. Adhering to the service concept of "tourists first" is an important measure for Xilingol League to promote the quality and efficiency improvement and high-quality development of tourism. A tourist team composed of 108 visitors entered joyfully; they will embark on an unforgettable grassland journey here, experiencing the profound horse culture of Xilingol and feeling the distinctive grassland customs. Representatives from 13 banners, counties, and cities across the league entered the venue in sequence. Riders holding colorful flags rode their horses one after another, with regionally characteristic flags fluttering in the wind. The majestic horses created a powerful atmosphere wherever they went, infecting the audience with enthusiasm and solemnity. The horsehead fiddle ensemble played "Ten Thousand Horses Galloping" across the grassland, and the melodious pastoral songs were enchanting. Performers from the Ulan Muqir troupe presented a beautiful and moving group dance. The "Grassland Dragon" dragon dance performance saw enthusiastic participation from the audience, vividly showcasing the touching scenes of ethnic groups communicating, interacting, and integrating. In addition to the exciting competitions, the Mongolian Horse Super League final also featured a variety of vibrant activities. In the exhibition area, a dazzling array of intangible cultural heritage vividly displayed the unique charm of northern border culture; in the food experience area, visitors could taste authentic Xilingol cuisine; in the interactive experience area, visitors could personally participate in interactive games such as horseback riding and tug-of-war, feeling the joyful atmosphere of the grassland. This year’s Mongolian Horse Super League officially started on May 19, featuring eight events. Among them, two mass racing events include the 30-kilometer endurance race for Mongolian horses and the 15-kilometer three-person team relay race. The mass competitive events include six projects: horse training competition, barrel racing, horse racing with scarf picking, horse archery, horse beauty contest, and horse obstacle course race. After fierce competitions at the gacha, township, and banner levels, over 500 riders reached the league-level final for the ultimate contest. In the final, riders demonstrated superb riding skills and indomitable spirit. They galloped on the track, sometimes leaping over obstacles, sometimes accelerating in sprints. Every successful jump and sprint won enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience. The riders and horses cooperated tacitly, chasing and competing with each other, vividly interpreting the Mongolian horse spirit of hard work, perseverance, and never giving up until the goal is achieved. After the Xilingol Mongolian Horse Super League final, the 34th Inner Mongolia Grassland Nadam Fair will be grandly held in Xilingol on July 14.
