Once you have walked the MacLehose Trail in HK, along the blue coastline and looking at the boundless sea, the sense of freedom blown by the sea breeze will always make you linger. Taking advantage of the brief warmer weather last year, I planned to go to Taizhou around Ningbo to experience the Zhejiang version of the MacLehose Trail-Wenling Shuitong'ao Small Loop. 📍Location: Wenling, Taizhou - Shuitong'ao 1 Self-driving🚗: Navigate to Wenling Xiaojiao Chencun and drive along the path to the end. It is recommended to park in the parking lot set up in the village, 20 days. 2 High-speed rail🚄 + car rental🚗: Wenling Station – Xiaojiao Chencun, about 45 minutes’ drive 1.⛰️Hiking route: The ridge small loop is 7.5km clockwise. Along the way, you can overlook the blue coastline and Wenling Little Fuji Mountain-Guji Mountain. After walking the whole way including taking photos and taking breaks, it is estimated that it will take 4 hours to reach the beach. Follow the cement road to the fork in the road (Fengmen Ridge) and turn left to take the step trail. There is a step trail in the first half and the route is simple. The coastline in the second half is narrow, so be careful not to slip. There are many rocky sections on the ridge, and there are cliffs on the sides. You need to pay special attention to safety on the descending section. 2.🏖️Beach route: If you are in a hurry to go to the beach to have a look, camp on the beach, or play on the beach with your children, you can go downhill directly at the Fengmenling fork, which takes about 20 minutes. Just return the way you came. The sand on the beach is very fine, and the overall feeling of the sea water is still very blue and yellow. Camping on the beach for New Year's Eve is really pleasant. 🌟tips: In addition to supplies before going up the mountain, there is also a blue shed store for supplies on the beach. The entire route is relatively exposed, so take sun protection. 🌟tips: In winter, it is really great to walk along this coastline on a sunny day to avoid windy weather. The experience is not inferior to the MacLehose Trail in Hong Kong. Wear it with a jacket + fleece. The temperature is low in the morning and evening, so you need to wear an extra layer of fleece to keep warm. It is recommended to wear a T-shirt as a base layer. It is very easy to sweat when hiking in the sun.
