Half Moon Bay.

Since I'm here, I might as well share the real Half Moon Bay. I came on a sunny day, but maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe I came at the wrong time. The water quality was not as good as the jelly green glass water in other bloggers' posts, but overall, the experience was okay. The south side of the island is a well-equipped beach swimming area 🏖️, suitable for couples and families, while the north side is a completely natural sea 🌊, with few man-made traces, suitable for kayaking, paddle boarding 🚣‍♂️, and other outdoor sports. There is a lawn and barbecue area 🦪 behind the convenience store, where you can picnic and camp. Walk about 10 minutes further, and there is a viewing platform 🌅 where you can overlook the entire beach. 🌵Transportation ❶ Take the MTR 🚇 to Sha Tin Station, then transfer to 299x directly to Sai Kung Pier. There are signs when you get off the bus. Follow the signs and walk 80m to the place to buy ferry tickets, as shown in Figure 2. ❷ You can also take the bus 🚌 B3 —> 62x —> 92 directly from Shenzhen Bay Port to Sai Kung Pier. 🌵Ferry tickets There are many ferry companies selling tickets: Feipo, Maoji, and Maji. The round trip to Sharp Island is HKD 30, and the round trip to Half Moon Bay is HKD 40, as shown in Figure 3. Be sure to ask about the time of the last ferry in advance, usually around 6 pm, so you don't miss the return ferry. 🌵Tips ❶ There is a 2 km mountain road between Sharp Island (National Geopark) and Half Moon Bay. If you have enough time, you can go to Sharp Island first, and then hike to Half Moon Bay. If you just want to play in the water, you can go directly to Half Moon Bay. ❷ There is food, drinks, and water equipment on the island, but it is expensive, so it is recommended to bring your own. ❸ There is a place to change clothes on the island, but there are many people, so you need to wait in line. The convenience store can store items, and a locker costs HKD 60, with a deposit of HKD 40.
