Weihai is beautiful, I'll come back during the off-season next time!

🏝 I took my child to Weihai, Shandong for the National Day holiday. Before coming, I looked through many travel guides and saw a lot of beautiful photos of Weihai. We were lucky to have good weather during our stay in Weihai, but the overwhelming number of tourists during the holiday period made the experience slightly less enjoyable. · 🌈 I originally planned to visit Torch Eight Streets, but after seeing the dense crowds on social media, I decided to be kind to myself and skip this attraction. If you really want to visit this place during the peak season, I suggest going there at six in the morning. · 🏖 Taking children to Weihai, the best place is to take them to the beach to play with sand. No child doesn't love sand and water, give them a small bucket and shovel, and they can happily play all day long, while adults just need to sit by and watch them. In Weihai city, the parks with beaches I recommend are Seaside Park and Haiyuan Park, although the latter is too small. · 👶 As a child-friendly city, Weihai has many parks with free public children's play facilities. I recommend Yuehai Park, where kids can swing and slide. Note that Yuehai Park does not have a beach‼️ · 🏨 For accommodation in Weihai, I recommend staying near Hanlefang and Weihai High-speed Railway Station for convenient transportation, a variety of accommodation options, and easy access to attractions. Hanlefang is a popular night market in Weihai, especially crowded at night, mainly offering Korean cuisine, along with many snacks, and it operates later than other places. Also, Hanlefang is particularly crowded during the tourist season‼️ · 🌟 Overall, Weihai is a city worth visiting for tourism, with a slow pace of life suitable for vacations. But if you want a more in-depth travel experience, it's better to come during the off-season.
