Shihu Garden is a pocket-sized garden in northern China with the characteristics of Jiangnan gardens. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and was originally the residence of Hu Bangzuo, a doctor in the Ministry of Justice during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. Later, in the 11th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1885 AD), it was purchased by Ding Shanbao, the richest man in Weixian County, for a large sum of money and was called "Ding's Garden". Shihu Garden faces south and is built of blue bricks and gray tiles. The main body of the garden is a brick and wood structure with a total construction area of ​​about 2,000 square meters. It got its name because it occupies a small area, which is like the size of ten wooden hu tablets. The park has six small architectural landscapes including rockery, long corridor, pond, building, curved bridge, pavilion, study and guest room. The entire garden consists of three courtyards: central, eastern and western. The central part is the main part of the garden, and the east and west parts are residential areas. After visiting Shihu Garden, you can also visit the Guandi Temple and Kong Rong Temple nearby. It takes 2 hours.
