Warsaw sightseeing 🇵🇱

#summerdestinations This summer, I had the chance to explore Warsaw, and it was an experience that left me with a deep appreciation for the city's rich history and vibrant culture. Warsaw is a fascinating blend of the old and new, where modern skyscrapers stand alongside historic sites that have been beautifully restored after World War II. My day started in the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Strolling through the cobblestone streets, I was captivated by the colorful buildings and charming squares. The highlight was definitely the Royal Castle, where the entrance fee was around 30 PLN (about $7). The castle’s interiors are stunning, filled with art and artifacts that tell the story of Poland’s royal past. Nearby, I visited the Warsaw Uprising Monument, a powerful tribute to the city's resilience during the war. Afterward, I walked down the Royal Route, a scenic street lined with historic buildings, churches, and cafes. The Presidential Palace and the University of Warsaw are also on this route, making it a great way to see some of the city's key landmarks. For a quick break, I stopped at a café in Krakowskie Przedmieście, enjoying a coffee while people-watching. The afternoon took me to Łazienki Park, a lush green space that’s perfect for relaxing. The park is free to enter, but I paid a small fee to visit the Palace on the Isle, a beautiful neoclassical building surrounded by water. The park was also full of friendly peacocks and serene walking paths. Warsaw is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, so I made sure to check out the Copernicus Science Centre, which was a fun, interactive experience. If you're into history, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is a must-visit, offering a deep dive into Poland’s Jewish heritage. Warsaw surprised me in so many ways—it’s a city that’s full of life, with something to offer everyone. Whether you’re into history, culture, or just enjoying beautiful urban landscapes, Warsaw is a destination that shouldn’t be missed. 🏰🌳 #trip #warsaw #polandtravel #cityexploration #culturalheritage #europeangetaway
