This was my first time visiting Maui, and I’m so glad I stayed at Howzit Hostel. I stayed in an 8-bed female dorm. The rooms are simple with typical bunk beds. The showers and toilets are well-maintained and clean, and they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels are free—they wash them for you, and you can always grab a fresh one. The kitchen has everything you need: space to store your food, access to filtered drinking water, and the ability to cook. The dining and common areas are very spacious, making it a super comfortable place to hang out and chill. For the price, Howzit Hostel offers more than enough. On top of that, the staff and volunteers are amazing. They even offer free tours (first come, first served), including transportation and tour guides. I’m especially thankful to Kara, Luke, Austin, and Zac for being so helpful when I hurt my knee. I can’t wait to go back to Maui and stay here again!
