The Vienna Kempinski is located in the famous Petersplatz, a stone's throw from St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace. In some of the hotel's rooms, you can even see the iconic copper-green roof of the palace. The 19th-century building where the hotel is located is composed of several parts with a deep historical origin: including the former headquarters of the famous financial institution Erste Group Bank AG-this magnificent neoclassical bank building, designed by Austrian architect Alois Pichl in 1835; and the world-famous musician Mozart once lived in the apartment building, where he wrote the three-act opera "The Abduction from the Seraglio". In cooperation with local architectural firms A2K Architekten and BEHF Architects, the building has been transformed into a luxury hotel with 71 spacious rooms and 28 suites. -
