Burano perfect day trip from Venice

If you’re heading to Venice and have enough time, I recommend you plan a day trip to Burano. However, Burano is quite touristy too so I highly recommend you to go there in the morning so you have enough time to head back to Venice! I was there in the morning and have the whole Burano to myself. It was so peaceful and beautiful 🤩 with the rainbow colors painted houses-could be the most colorful island in the entire world! As you may know, public transport in Venice mainly consists of water buses – the so-called vaporettos. The only water bus that goes to Burano – and Murano as well – is route 12 which departs from Fondamente Nove (Ft. Nove). This stop is in the northern part of Venice and a 20-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square. Do take note of the ferry timing so as not to miss and plan well so that you have sufficient time to return back to venice.
