Hiking and tubing along Nam Song river
Tubing along the beautiful Nam Song River is one of Vang Vieng's most popular activities (besides climbing). Once you get at the riverbank, you may rent a rubber tube for a modest charge and float down the river, which is lined with cafes and places to stop along the route.
You may even tube in front of a number of restaurants, avoiding the need to travel far and allowing you to spend the entire day floating around and taking in the spectacular yet quiet surroundings.

| Triple City Tour, 9 Days 8 Nights Itinerary~.
I've finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door - Laos!
🔶🔶🔶Laos seems to be the country with the least presence, known to me as one of the poorest countries in the world. However, I believe that every city has its unique scenery and cultural charm, worthy of exploration.

D2: Mohan--Boten--Vientiane
D3: Vientiane (Wat Si Saket, That Luang, Patuxai, Mekong River Night Market)
D4: Vientiane minivan--Vang Vieng (Blue Lagoon, Nam Song River Tubing, Vang Vieng Bar Street)
D5: Vang Vieng--Luang Prabang (Mekong River Sunset, Night Market)

D7: Luang Prabang (Amantaka--Wat Xieng Thong--French Old Bridge)
D8: Luang Prabang (Phou Si Hill, Royal Palace, Old Town Stroll)
D9: Luang Prabang--Boten--Mohan--Xishuangbanna
🌟🌟🌟Must-do in Luang Prabang: The ancient city of Luang Prabang, with its thousand-year history, Kuang Si Falls, Mekong River Sunset, Monk Alms Giving, Old Town Stroll. You can also stay in the mountains, find a resort to relax for a few days (Amantaka, Rosewood, and other resorts)~
🌟🌟🌟Must-experience in Vang Vieng: The pristine nature of Vang Vieng, if you like the outdoors, you can stay a few more days. Kayaking, tubing, cave exploration, hot air ballooning, and the lagoon are just some of the many activities available, and they are very cost-effective~
🌟🌟🌟Must-see in Vientiane: The capital Vientiane, a hidden Buddhist realm. If you have time, you can go and see, mainly the Patuxai and a few temples. Vientiane also has overland access to Thailand's Lamang~
🚝Transportation:
The entire journey can be done by high-speed train. I took a minivan from Vientiane to Vang Vieng, which was picked up and dropped off at the hotel, making it more convenient.

Try the good foods in the walking street
Consider checking out the grilled meat vendors and food vendors that set up shop along the Vang Vieng Walking Street in the nights if you're searching for something authentically Vang Vieng. They normally sell something called beeng moo, which is just barbecued pork, or you may try the naam kow, which are rice balls stuffed with tasty pig sausage. All of the food is presented with platters heaped with local salads, herbs, and other aromatics so that you can customize your meal, as is customary with Laotian cuisine.

Vang Vieng Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Laos is a small and peaceful country with epic landscapes. One afternoon we set off on a hike and caught this view before the sun went down,
Amari Vang Vieng Hotel Laos, nice place, great food, good location and great service in Vang Vieng city.
Wanrong magical caves, actually sitting in the tires!
After watching this elephant stalactite, we walked along the village and crossed the field to the edge of the cave. The caves here are all three-dimensional play mode. Yes, people can play in the air and cross the stream below. We can sit in the tires and slide into the cave. There was a rope pulling in the cave. Before that, I thought that we were just drifting in. The spring was very cold, and the buttocks were sitting inside the tires, and the backs were cold. The cobblestones on the ground stepped on the feet until the ropes were held and began to float into the bottomless caves, and everything became nervous and irritating. Slowly, no light can be seen. We can only rely on the lights above our heads and the shouts of our companions. As if to degenerate into a cave creature, the stalactites next to it are still very smooth, as long as the head does not touch it, and other places will basically not be scratched. Holding the rope all the way to the inside, it is still very fast to the source, the source is directly pebbles. There is a cave here that is very exciting and we need to bend over to enter. After entering, you will see a lot of pebbles stacked, this is not a magical natural landscape. Its all human beings, Ive seen it in Everest, and I feel that all humans will do something strange in the extreme. So do you want to stack a little stone in the absence of oxygen?
Wanrong is already a tourist city in Laos and has a high reputation abroad. For most people, it is still very small. However, there are more Chinese people in Wanrong. They are all doing business there, and by the way, they open an inn.
Van Rong's accommodation is mainly based on family hotels and built along the river. The best thing to do at Wanrong is to drift in the Mekong River, or to row. We played at the Four Thousand Islands, and I gave up in order not to let the coach continue to laugh at me.
The most interesting thing in Wanrong is to take a hot air balloon. Although the number and scenery of the ball cannot be compared with Cappadocia, it is also poetic to look down on the landscape in high altitude.
When landing, there are many children to help. The bosses used to give them a little snack. I gave them the candy they brought from Cambodia. Everyone was very happy.

Exploring the gorgeous Tham Jang
Tham Jang is one of Vang Vieng's most well-known caverns, having played a significant role in Laos' history. When the Chinese conquered Vang Vieng in the 19th century, this cave served as an army bunker, so history aficionados should make a point of visiting it. You will have to trek up a steep set of steps to enter the cave, but it is well worth the extra effort. To be honest, upon visiting this beautiful cave my perspective changed. It was very memorable. Wait, there is also a river where you can splurge, it’s Crystal clear!

This a long steep steps to the entrance. You pay to get onto a "resort" to cross the bridge to the cave entrance and pay again to get into the cave!! #wintergetaway
