Traveling alone in Uzbekistan is what kind of experience 1/5

Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked country located in Central Asia, and several cities within its borders were important components of the ancient Silk Road. Throughout history, its people have established numerous glorious states, and it was also one of the member states of the former Soviet Union. 🇺🇿 Due to my long-standing interest in the history and culture of Uzbekistan, as well as its friendly visa-free policy for Chinese passport holders for up to ten days, I embarked on a journey to Uzbekistan alone. 🚶🏻 This time my travel route is: ✈️ Fly to the capital Tashkent ➡️ Take the high-speed train to Samarkand ➡️ Take the high-speed train to Bukhara ➡️ Charter a car to Khiva ➡️ Take a taxi to Urgench Airport and leave ✈️ The route from east to west takes a total of eight days. 🗺️ Entry guide 📝 1. The prerequisite for visa-free entry is to enter and exit by air, and a stay of up to ten days can be granted. Visa-free entry is not available for entry or exit by land. 🛫 2. The departure ticket must be in the issued status and printed out for the immigration inspection at the entry airport to check the ticket number. 📠 3. The itinerary of the hotel needs to be printed out, and a reservation form should be requested from the hotel when checking out, for inspection by the border control. 🏨 Other suggestions 📝 1. Most ATMs and card machines support UnionPay, but it is recommended to have Visa or Mastercard on hand for emergencies. 💳 2. Some attractions and restaurants only accept cash. You can bring US dollars or Chinese yuan to exchange money at exchange points, but it's better to bring US dollars. Some hotels also provide currency exchange services. 💵 3. Chinese SIM cards can be activated for roaming in Wuguo, or you can buy a phone card at the airport for around $15, which includes about 20GB of data. 📱 4. You can use the Yandex app for taxi rides, which is cheap and has many vehicles available. You can pay online by linking your credit card or pay offline. 🚖 5. It is recommended to use hotel apps starting with B or A for booking, and it is best to book in the old city area of each city, where you can walk to various attractions. 🏨 6. In addition, Uzbekistan is one of the safest countries in Central Asia, and the people are very kind and friendly. They are especially welcoming to people with East Asian features, and there are tourist police patrols in every scenic area. 👮🏻‍♂️ Due to limited space, the remaining content will be shared in the following articles 💡.
