Visit Wat Bot, Uthai, an ancient temple from the Rattanakosin period🙏🏻

#Travel for the World This morning the weather is very good. The sun is not yet strong. The wind from the Sakae Krang River blows gently. We woke up to the sound of wood hitting the water gently... When we looked out, we saw a monk rowing a small boat to collect alms. It was a simple scene but it made us feel warm in an indescribable way. So we got up to give alms to the villagers. The morning atmosphere by the river was slow and relaxing. Everyone seemed to be calm as if time had slowed down. Then we walked to the long wooden bridge across the river to the other bank. Our destination was not far away... Wat Bot or its real name is Wat Uposatharam. This temple is old since the early Rattanakosin period. It is located by the river. The plain white chapel has a red roof that contrasts very clearly with the sky. Inside, there are five Buddha statues in the Mara-Vijaya posture. Walking inside, it was quiet, to the point that our hearts were quiet as well. The murals in the chapel are still beautiful as if time has not done much to them. Then we stopped to pay respect to the Buddha. Make a wish before walking around the temple. Next to it is a temple that tells the story of the Lord Buddha through meticulous mural paintings. There are stories of Phra Malai, Phra 80 Mahasawas, and a picture of the meditation of the impurities of the body. And what I really like is the three-period pagoda behind the temple. It reflects the beauty of each era — Ayutthaya, Rattanakosin — together without any conflict. While walking, we saw some villagers bringing fresh vegetables to store by the canal. People were washing clothes by the water, children were riding bicycles past the temple, and laughter could be heard from nearby houses… This kind of life by the water is simple but very charming. Uthai Thani may not be a famous tourist city, but it is full of good feelings that cannot be found in big cities. Wat Bot is like the heart of this small community, growing quietly alongside the river and the people who still beautifully preserve the traditional way of life. 📍Address: Wat Bot, Uthai Thani ⸻ #UthaiThani #UthaiThaniIsBetterThanYouThink
