It is 120 meters tall, making it the sixth tallest standing statue in the world. It is the largest bronze standing statue in the world. It was built by the Jodo Shinshu Higashi Honganji Temple, the head temple of the Higashi Honganji school. It is located in a Pure Land garden that includes a small animal park and flower gardens, and is a complex with the park cemetery "Ushiku Joen." After purchasing your admission ticket, the lights go out for about a minute in front of the entrance door, and there is a narration. It has a bit of an entertainment feel to it.
