Hiking the Inca Trail to Macha Picchu in Peru

After an early wake up call we had a hearty breakfast at our hotel in Ollantaytambo and headed down to the train station to board the Peru Rail Vista Train the views on the train were absolutely spectacular and you even get snacks and tea and after 1 hour we got dropped off at the beginning of our hike showed our passport met at porter valentina. Got a briefing and after a moving ritual speaking to mother Earth we set off on the 6 hour trail the hike was breathtaking thrilling and challenging at the same time but u get to stop every once in a while and once we reached halfway point we stopped for lunch we saw some smaller Inca Sites along the way we did not give up had lots of water and eventually we reached the Sun Gate at the top of the mountain overlooking Machu Picchu I broke down in tears and of course when we went back the next day for THE photo I felt humbled and I thought myself :Well done girl!
