Ulm is a city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, located on the Danube River bordering Bavaria. The city has a population of over 126,000. Founded around 850, Ulm is a former free imperial city rich in history and tradition. The neighboring town of Neu-Ulm in Bavaria was part of Ulm until 1810. Today, Ulm is an economic center due to its diverse industries and is home to the University of Ulm. Internationally, the city is primarily known for being home to the world's tallest church, the 161.53-meter-high Ulm Minster, and as the birthplace of Albert Einstein. If you like history, this is definitely a city worth visiting. The oldest traceable settlement in the Ulm area dates back to the Early Neolithic period, around 5000 BC. The world's tallest church was funded by local residents rather than the church when it was built in 1377. It was completed on May 31, 1890, which took 513 years to complete. As far as I know, it is the second tallest church in the world after Cologne Cathedral in terms of construction duration.
