[Nagano Prefecture] Sanada Shrine

Sanada Shrine, located in Ueda Castle Ruins Park in Ueda City, enshrines Sanada Nobushige (Yukimura), a military commander active during the Sengoku period. Ueda Castle is famous as an unconquerable castle that defeated the Tokugawa army twice, so it is a popular shrine visited by many people who are planning to take part in competitions or taking exams. Sanada Shrine is a place deeply rooted in the history and culture of Ueda City. It is a wonderful place where you can feel the historical atmosphere by visiting.
