Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine

This Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine was first built in 1959. The spirit of Prince Prajak Silpakom, who founded Udon Thani in 1893, was invited to reside at this city pillar. For those who come to pay homage to the City Pillar Shrine, there is a secret belief that if we enter through which door, we should exit through that door because it will bring more merit. As for paying homage to the Phra Phuttha Pho Thong, it is believed that it will bring shade from the Bodhi tree and the support of elders.
