Ban Tad Forest Temple, Udon Thani Province

Wat Pa Ban Tad is located in Ban Tad Subdistrict. Travel out of the city on Highway No. 2 Udon Thani-Khon Kaen to Ban Kong Keng Intersection and turn right for about 9 kilometers to reach the temple, which is not far from Ban Tad community. The general condition of the temple is a forest area on a mound surrounded by a concrete wall. The total area is about 163 rai. There is a large entrance and exit gate at the front of the temple. To enter the temple, you must ask permission from the abbot first. The wall surrounding the temple area not only serves to show the temple's boundary but also to protect the wild animals living in the temple's forest area. There are many wild animals in the temple area, such as pheasants, jungle fowls, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and wild boars. Wat Ban Tad is the residence of Phra Ajahn Maha Bua Yanasampan, a Vipassana meditation master in the lineage of Phra Ajahn Man Phurithatto. He is a monk with a highly respected and revered practice. For Buddhists in general, this temple is suitable for those who want to practice Dhamma.
