Wat Tai Phra Chao Yai Ong Tue

Wat Tai Phra Chao Yai Ong Tue, also known as Wat Tai Thoeng, is a historic temple located in Ubon Ratchathani province. It was once a meditation temple for Phra Ajahn Sao Kantasilo and Phra Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta. The temple houses the revered Phra Chao Yai Ong Tue, one of the five significant Phra Chao Yai Ong Tue Buddha statues in Thailand. Additionally, the temple features ancient artifacts such as two sandstone inscriptions, the 200-year-old Chalerm Phra Kiat Vihara, and the Phra Borommathat Chedi. Important religious objects include the Phra Chao Yai Ong Tue, four standing Buddha statues in the forbidding the ocean posture, and one black Phra Chao Yai Ong Tue Buddha statue.
