Wat Ban Bak (Wat Pa Phra Phikanesuan: Ubon Ratchathani)

Location: Ban Pak Nam, Moo 10, Kud Lad Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province This is a Buddhist temple with a Brahmin name, the only one in Siam. Locals call it 'Wat Pa Phikanesuan' because a sandstone statue of Phra Phikanesuan was excavated from the area. The temple houses a revered statue of Phra Phikanesuan. It is an ancient temple and a site for religious ceremonies of ancient people who lived along the Mun River. It is a quiet forest temple surrounded by woods.
