Phra That Nong Bua, Year of the Snake

Wat Phra That Nong Bua is a temple located in the heart of Ubon Ratchathani. It has beautiful architecture, namely, Phra That Chedi Si Maha Pho or what Ubon people call "Phra That Nong Bua", which is a replica of the Buddha Gaya Chedi in India, and statues of Grandfather Kritsakornkot and Grandmother Maniket, which are enshrined together. These two Naga are the Rainbow Naga or the Chapayaputta Naga, one of the four Naga families. They say that this is the temple for people born in the Year of the Snake to come and pay homage for good luck in life. #Wat Phra That Nong Bua
