IL SABAUDO, a specialty of GERTOSIO

#Gourmet Turinians say that Turin is the birthplace of chocolate. The first thing I tried was IL SABAUDO, a specialty of GERTOSIO, made of gianduja cream spread perfectly in a glass and topped with coffee and whipped cream. It was my first chocolate in Turin, but it was so sweet that I couldn't eat it all, which was a shame. You can only try it when you're completely hungry. I wanted to buy a chocolate cake called TORTA SABAUD as a souvenir, but I passed on it because I thought IL SABAUDO was too sweet. But the atmosphere of the shop, which had a classical, long-established feel, made my heart flutter.
