Summer at costa Brava

The Costa Brava, located in the northeastern part of Spain along the Mediterranean coast, is a stunning stretch of coastline known for its rugged beauty, charming seaside towns, and crystal-clear waters. This region, which stretches from Blanes to the French border, offers a blend of natural splendor, rich history, and vibrant culture that attracts visitors from around the world. One of the highlights of the Costa Brava is its diverse landscapes. Dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sandy beaches provide a picturesque backdrop for both relaxation and adventure. The beaches, particularly in towns like Tossa de Mar, Begur, and Calella de Palafrugell, are pristine and offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. In addition to its natural beauty, the Costa Brava is home to historic towns and cultural treasures. Girona, with its medieval architecture and Romanesque churches, and Figueres, the birthplace of surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, offer cultural experiences that go beyond the typical beach holiday. The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres is a must-visit for art lovers. The Costa Brava also boasts a vibrant culinary scene, with fresh seafood and traditional Catalan dishes like *pa amb tomàquet* (bread with tomato) and *fideuà* (a noodle-based paella) taking center stage. Pairing these meals with local wines from the nearby Empordà region enhances the experience. In summary, the Costa Brava offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and excellent cuisine. Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural enrichment, this region of Catalonia provides something for every traveler. Its charm lies in the seamless combination of scenic landscapes and authentic Spanish culture.

Tossa De Mar

I was in Tossa De Mar not a first time and every time it is something new. This time I decided to wake up earlier to see sunrises. It was an amazing experience. Every day sunrises were different. I didn’t regret that I had such experience. It was something new in my life which have never been forgotten. Tossa De Mar is a great place for sunrises. You feel that you wake up together with a nature. For me it not an easy to wake up early but when I do it I am so proud of myself. Waked up at 05.00 AM, sunrise was at 06:17 at that time (the beginning of June). For doing that don’t forget to put something warm on. He-he, the temperature in the morning is a little bit cold and windy. Just in case 😉 There is a small well known hill where Castle is situated and there is an unknown, secret path with a best view ever for the sea, and horizon, and bay, and town. Such sunrises take your breath away….😇😇😇
