Located in Wuzhen, Zhejiang, Tanjia Qixiang is a hotel brand that integrates social interaction and community. [Yeah] The hotel itself is a renovation project of a century-old village. The design focuses on micro-transformations or breakthroughs in the facade and texture, content and scene. [Chin] The renovation follows the overall protection and development rules of the ancient town, retains the village form, and repairs and coordinates the 15 old village houses on the basis of a unified appearance, giving traditional houses more contemporary architectural landscape language to meet multiple leisure functions from catering, hotels to cultural exchanges. [Tiptop] The design uses water as a running element, retains native vegetation, adds courtyard paths, allows for openness and privacy, transforms disorder into organicity, and creates a humanistic community that provides exclusive private space for hotel guests while being open to the public. [Surprising]The street side is planned to be a restaurant and bar. The large sloping roof encloses the main building into an inward courtyard and patio, with the dining area and kitchen each in their proper place. The large viewing windows offer a view of lush greenery, and the psychedelic lights are fascinating at night. An open-air viewing platform is added to the second floor of the annex building to create an outdoor social space with a wide view for guests in the private rooms. [TeaDrinker] Traditional footpaths run through the village communities. Whenever you walk on the water, the fast pace of the city can't help but slow down and relax. Geometric windows on the facades of buildings and walls form an irregular visual rhythm, creating a picturesque rhythmic aesthetic both indoors and outdoors, and the so-called poetic living environment emerges spontaneously.
