Two Days and One Night in Tonglu

Another spontaneous trip with friends. This is a city I've envied many times. I kept wondering how they managed to make the greenery so beautiful and keep the streets so clean. Before coming here, I didn't know it was just a county. After learning this fact, I became even more envious. Beautiful scenery, excellent greenery, clean city, great urban planning - I envy the locals who can take walks along the river every day. Accommodation: I checked in to an Atour Hotel riverside view room along the Fuchun River. The main selling point is that you can see the Fuchun River from your room, which was quite satisfactory. Food: Every meal in Tonglu was great! I'm even more envious now! 1. Tongluren Restaurant! Delicious! Just order anything - you won't be disappointed. The Zhuangyuan Su (Scholar's Pastry), Immortal Chicken, and Shredded Beef with Pickled Radish were all excellent! 2. Dalian Noodle Restaurant. The Bamboo Shoots and Shredded Pork Noodles were incredibly delicious. The bamboo shoots were amazing! They brought tears to my eyes - I've never had such tender bamboo shoots before. The toppings were flavorful. Although one bowl costs over 30 yuan, it's worth it. Even as someone who doesn't usually like noodles, I fell in love with these. 3. Yu's Mung Bean Cakes, right across from Tongluren Restaurant. They taste better fresh out of the oven and aren't too sweet. Among mung bean cakes, these are quite good. 4. Tong Guo Guo - Traditional Tonglu Rice Cakes. We couldn't finish them so we packed some to take back to Hefei. The Wine-Fermented Sliced Buns were delicious! They're chewy with a slight sweetness from the rice wine. The rice cakes were also good. Planning to order more by delivery next time. 5. Bread and Air, a famous local bakery. I sat in the store for a while and saw a constant stream of customers. The storefront is quite spacious - it's my ideal type of shop. 6. Taste of Tonglu was our last meal in Tonglu. We wanted to try the Fish Maw with Fish Roe. Not many restaurants were open at 3 PM, but the food here was pretty good. Attractions: 1. Daqi Mountain Forest Park. If you have a Hangzhou household registration, you can buy a Hangzhou Culture and Tourism Card for 29.9 yuan (must be purchased 2 hours in advance) for free admission. The whole walk takes about an hour. You can skip the waterfall at the end - it's small and unremarkable. It was my first time seeing blue-green water, which was quite fascinating. The weather was too cold, so the fish stayed at the bottom of the water. You can take the Forest Flying Squirrel down the mountain. The price is negotiable but still quite expensive, and the ride only lasts about a minute. 2. Yuantong Temple was almost empty when we visited, and the entire temple was very peaceful. 3. Tonglu City Planning Exhibition Center is near the hotel, just a short walk away. Located by the Fuchun River, it tells the story of how Tonglu developed to what it is today. After visiting, I could only feel more envious.
