Shanghai weekend getaway: Tonglu water play guide! With tips to avoid pitfalls

Walk along the Maling Ancient Trail, which is about 11 km long, and the three villages along the way each have their own characteristics and are worth a visit. 1. Luzi Village Parking is convenient, and there are many stone roads on the river. You can also go boating and enjoy the idyllic scenery along the river while sailing. There are farm dishes next to the river. If you want to take photos, you can go directly to the next two villages. There are more people because it is the closest to the city. 2. Maoping Village It is quiet with fewer people, and there are far fewer tourists than in Luzi Village. The century-old camphor tree is perfect for photos! It has not been developed much, and many Ming and Qing dynasty buildings and ancestral halls have been preserved, as well as ancient bridges, which are very photogenic! Worth a visit. 3. Shishe Village The water is very clear! Surrounded by mountains on all sides and water on three sides, the river is shallow, and you can set up camping gear on the shoal to feel the coolness. There are many small scenic spots that are perfect for photos. The village preserves a large number of Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, and walking among them is like traveling through time. Tips: 1. Plan your route and parking in advance. You will need to take a taxi back to the starting point after visiting the three villages along the Maling Ancient Trail. 2. Slippers and towels are a must!
