I was invited to this Chinese restaurant, Aoki. Located just a stone's throw from Ebisu, this chic restaurant has a very Ebisu-esque atmosphere, with mostly counter seating. The food is original Chinese food incorporating a variety of genres, and each dish is unique and ingenious in some way. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people who usually cook for themselves, as you can chat about what's in it and what smells like. The young staff are trying their best to make "a little unusual Chinese food" while using various ingenuity. So, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to people who want to eat traditional Chinese food, but considering the food, ingredients, and location, it may be that they've kept the prices reasonable. I think people's tastes will differ, but the service, atmosphere, and lively atmosphere of the restaurant are great. I hope they don't end up with too many dishes that are too ingenious and leave you thinking, "Hmm?" There are private rooms, so it seems convenient for both dates and groups.
