Seasonal menu of famous fruit shop "Takano" □Takano Fruit Parlor Ikebukuro Tobu Store 📍Ikebukuro, Tokyo I came to Takano Fruit Parlor, located on the second floor cosmetics floor of Tobu Department Store, directly connected to Ikebukuro Station, to eat the melon seasonal menu. I visited the store just after 3pm on a Sunday, and there was no line, so it seemed relatively empty compared to the main store in Shinjuku. Muskmelon and red-fleshed melon parfait Muskmelon shortcake (with coffee/tea) Takano's muskmelon is delicious any time of year, but it felt even more delicious during the season. The parfait was great, not only with melon, but also with melon & vanilla ice cream and mascarpone cream. The muskmelon shortcake had a light dough and the fresh cream was elegantly sweet, and went well with the melon.
