Because this time, Mount Fuji was visible every day, even during the day and at night! Main location: On the way to Lake Kawaguchi, where we'll be staying at a hotel. The view along the way is like this – Mount Fuji showing itself tirelessly all day long. Even though it didn't snow, it was still incredibly impressive. 🇯🇵 My first time traveling abroad, and I chose Japan! We went during the autumn foliage season 🍁🍂 from November 22-26, 2025. The temperature was 7-14 degrees Celsius, pleasantly cool. 🥰 Day 1: Arrived at Narita Airport at 10:45 AM. The immigration line was incredibly long, over an hour! Then we took the Keisei Skyliner train into Tokyo. After checking into our hotel, we went shopping and ate in Shinjuku. Day 2: Went to Tsukiji Fish Market, followed by Shibuya. Day 3: The moment we'd been waiting for – Mount Fuji! 🗻 We were so lucky with clear skies. We opted for a day trip, taking a bus in the morning and returning in the evening. Day 4: Started the day at Sensoji Temple, then took photos at Meiji Jingu Park, checked in at Tokyo Skytree in the evening, and ended the day with Gyokatsu (grilled beef) in Shinjuku. Day 5: Checked out of the hotel. While waiting for our flight to the airport, we strolled around Ueno. We had breakfast at Ameyoko Market, strolled through Ueno Park, bought souvenirs at Don Quijote, and then took the Keisei train to the airport. 🚄 We traveled entirely by train in Tokyo. We used a 72-hour Tokyo Subway Pass, and when it ran out, we bought a 24-hour extension. It was incredibly cost-effective; we used this one pass for the entire trip on the subway. 💰The main expenses for this trip were 25,625 baht (excluding food and shopping). We booked everything through the Trip.com app, getting great prices and avoiding any problems. 🖇️ Oh, I have to rave about Trip.com! The hotel in Japan requested information through the app's message function, which I wasn't very familiar with and hesitant to provide. So, I asked a Trip.com representative to help, and they were incredibly helpful and quick. This made the trip so fun, happy, and perfect! 🫶🏻🤍 🌼🍁🇯🇵 And yes, Japan is a country I definitely need to visit again. #TravelJapan

📍📍【Recommended Spots】 - Scramble Crossing: It's hard to get a good view, but I managed to get one 😉 Just head to the nearby Magnetic Mall! 🥹 - There's a gacha shop in Shibuya with nearly 2,000 machines!! Exit the station, go straight, cross the traffic lights, and it's right there. ㅠ There's so much to see 💕💕 - Itoya Stationery: I got a really cute diary here ㅜㅜ It's a massive stationery store with 8-9 floors, so make sure you take your time and browse! I shopped for 2 hours ㅎㅎ😵 - Tokyo Tower🗼: Go to the 7-Eleven near Tokyo Tower for a great shot... but honestly, just about anywhere is beautiful!!! 🥘🥘【Recommended Restaurants】 1. Sushiro This is my absolute favorite sushi place in Japan! My favorite among them is the shrimp sushi🍤! If you're wondering why, just try it. It's the best... (I had a picture, but it's gone ㅠㅠㅠㅠ) 2. Imakatsu This is the chicken breast katsu, famous for Choo Sung-hoon's pork cutlet... Wow, it melts in your mouth. I can see why it's so popular. It's so delicious, it's hard to believe it's chicken breast. ㅠㅠ There were even Korean staff! I made a reservation by phone and was able to get in right away :) Otherwise, the wait is long... 😭 3. Lawson Karaage It's that blue-colored karaage! It's so delicious, I can't believe it's convenience store quality. 4. Gintako This is a chain! I had it in Fukuoka and it was so delicious that I had it again at the branch right in front of the Mitsui Garden Hotel. ㅎㅎ 📌If you don't like ginger, I recommend leaving it out!!📌 5. McDonald's McFlurry They have it in Korea, but the Japanese one is seriously delicious... They put so many Oreos in it that you can't help but feel the Oreos. I always eat a McFlurry when I go to Japan☺️ 6. Ippudo Ramen I ate at the Narita Airport branch!! It was simply... delicious and refreshing. It was perfect as my last meal before heading back to Korea!! 🏠🏠【Recommended Hotels】 1. Mitsui Garden Hotel Gotanda That's the lobby view!! The lobby was so prettyㅠㅠ There was a birthday party there, and they even had a towel giveaway like thisㅎ I got some takeout from Gintaco, as I mentioned above, and ate it with the spicy chicken I brought from Koreaㅜㅜ It was so delicious🫶🏻👍🏻 📷📷 【Photo Spots】 •Ginza Go to Ginza on a nice day! The photos come out so wellㅠ •If you stay at Mitsui Garden Gotanda! The street is so pretty with the Meguro River right behind it. That neighborhood playground is also full of emotion… +Uniqlo Custom👚😻 Everyone, just go for an open run. My flight was at 2:00, so I left early and went to Uniqlo Ginza!! Nemuro Hanamaru is a famous conveyor belt sushi chain from Hokkaido, but they also have a branch in Tokyo! We visited the Ginza branch and were very impressed. The fish was fresh, the prices were excellent, and it was the best meal of our trip. ❣️ Recommended Menu Items 🦪 Scallops: Sweet, fresh, and absolutely delicious. 🍣 Fresh Salmon Roe: Slightly salty but incredibly fresh. A must-try! 🥣 Seasonal Specials: Each season features unique menu items. Check out what's on the conveyor belt! ⏰ How to Order: You can request an English menu from the staff. The menu includes numbers; simply write the numbers on the order sheet and specify whether you want wasabi or not. Hand the order sheet to the staff. 🚃 Directions: Take the Ginza Line and get off at Ginza Station, Exit B2. The restaurant is located in the Ginza Six shopping mall. 🫶🏻 Tip: Get a queue ticket in advance and scan the QR code to check your queue status online.

Koishikawa Korakuen Garden in late November is incredibly tranquil. The vibrant mix of red, orange, yellow, and green leaves creates a stunning scenery. There is also a duck pond. The garden opens at 9 AM, with an entrance fee of 300 yen, which is very reasonable. It is easily accessible. It is recommended to visit right when the garden opens to avoid crowds. The garden is not very large. There is also a shop selling warm dango, which is delightful to enjoy in the chilly weather.

Staying in Asakusa is also a great vibe. Walking through Hoppy Street in the morning, it's bustling with restaurants lining both sides. The staff at the front of the store are competing to attract customers, and almost every restaurant is full of customers. Memo stayed at Hotel Tavinos Asakusa, just a 2-minute walk to Sensoji Temple. The price is excellent. A room for 2,240 baht, which sleeps 2 people, works out to 1,120 baht per person (prices fluctuate depending on the season). Memo previously stayed at Hotel Tavinos in Kyoto, which was also a good value. I recommend it to anyone looking for a more affordable hotel. I checked in December, and the prices were about the same. To get to and from Narita/Haneda Airport and Hotel Tavinos Asakusa, you can take the train from Asakusa Station (Toei Asakusa Line). It's a direct connection, but it's a very long walk. Another option is the Airport Limousine Bus, which stops at Asakusa View Hotel, which is a short walk away. From Narita Airport, take the Access Express train and use your IC card to tap. A review of a new capsule hotel in Tokyo, opening in 2025. This one-tatami-mat tearoom concept is perfect for solo travelers. It costs around 1,000 baht per person per night (there are also private rooms for three). Memo really likes this concept because it's not like the bunk beds of typical capsule hotels, so the room isn't cramped (though it's still small, as is typical in Tokyo). Luggage can be stored under the mattress (with a coded lock). Memo fits one large 29-inch bag, one 20-inch bag, and one backpack perfectly. The bed is very comfortable, and there are privacy curtains like you would find in a typical capsule hotel. There are charging outlets at the head of the bed. The bathroom is clean, and they provide towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner, and a Dyson hair dryer. Self-check-in/check-out via tablet is not available, as there are no staff on-site. This is a drawback, especially if you have a problem, as there is no live staff on-site. However, there is a phone number available if you're in a rush. Alternatively, you can wait until cleaning is scheduled between 10:00 AM and noon. A word of caution: Remember the luggage compartment lock code, or you won't be able to open it. For Harry Potter fans, I recently visited the Harajuku area and found the first Harry Potter Harajuku store in Japan, which just opened in August 2025. The store is large, spanning two floors, and is filled with adorable and must-buy items. Potterheads are sure to spend some money here! The store offers a variety of merchandise, including clothing, keychains, plush toys, candies, wands, and more. On the second floor, there's even a café that serves Butter Beer. The ginkgo trees at the University of Tokyo are a must-see highlight for autumn foliage in Tokyo. The atmosphere here is incredibly serene, especially in the early morning when you can spot professors and students cycling around, adding a unique charm to the experience. The iconic large trees of the university offer numerous photo opportunities. When I visited in late November, there were still some green leaves to be seen. If you plan to visit Tokyo to see the ginkgo trees between November and December, don't miss this spot!

The only two things in my Tokyo itinerary that required advance booking were: One was Room 17 at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo 🗼 The other was Shibuya Sky 🌇 I really loved Room 17. Waking up every day to a view of Tokyo Tower 🗼 The bathroom was huge; I did my skincare and makeup facing the 🗼 every day. I could also order room service, and then have 🍞 snap a bunch of photos of me. No need to queue up at popular photo spots anymore 🤣 The hotel's location is also great, just two subway stops away, very convenient for shopping every day! It's very close to Roppongi, so after dinner, you can go see the Christmas illuminations. The sunset at Shibuya Sky is so beautiful. My advice is to definitely go up at least an hour before sunset. Not only are tickets for sunset difficult to get, but you also have to queue for entry at that time. The sunset is fleeting, and you might get stuck in the entry queue 😂 We just happened to miss out on tickets for 3-4 PM (sunset is around this time in November). We entered a little after 2 PM, planning to stay for two hours until after sunset. I originally thought it would be boring, but after entering, we found a bar where for 3600💴 per person, you could have a booth sofa for an hour, with two drinks and a snack per person. Perfect! We relaxed on the sofa for an hour, and when we went out, it was exactly sunset! 🤔 Got a ton of great shots.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a highly recommended spot for viewing autumn leaves in Tokyo, especially in late November when the maple leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow, and the ginkgo trees display their golden hues. The garden features various zones, including a Japanese garden and a European-style garden. Visitors often spread out mats to enjoy the scenery, which includes water views and little ducks. It's been voted one of the "most desirable places to live" by many Japanese people. While close to Shibuya, it offers a more relaxed pace and boasts trendy cafes, unique eateries, retro shopping streets, and landmarks like the "Carrot Tower." For transportation, it's accessible via the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line or the Setagaya Line. Finding a quiet observation deck to enjoy Tokyo's cityscape without the tourist crowds can be difficult; many famous attractions are either overcrowded or require expensive tickets. However, the "Carrot Tower" at Sangenjaya Station offers a panoramic observation deck! And it's completely free! Carrot Tower is easily accessible, just a 5-minute drive from Shibuya and a mere 1-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station. When we actually visited, we found that the observation deck was practically deserted, with plenty of free seats available for people to sit, rest, and enjoy the view of Tokyo. Here’s my 72-hour itinerary: I arrived on the first day and started using the pass immediately, taking the train from the airport to Ueno Station at 4 PM. Day 1 🇯🇵 682 yen - Ueno to Tamarawachi Station: 178 yen - Tamarawachi Station to Shibuya: 252 yen - Return to accommodation: 252 yen Day 2 🇯🇵 356 yen - From accommodation to Hatchobori, then transfer to JR line to Tokyo DisneySea: 178 yen - Return trip: 178 yen Day 3 🇯🇵 848 yen - From accommodation to G04 Aoyama-itchome, then to Meiji Jingu Gaien: 209 yen - Aoyama-itchome to Kyobashi for photos in front of Tokyo Station: 178 yen - Kyobashi to Shinjuku Station: 209 yen - Shinjuku Station back to accommodation: 252 yen Day 4 🇯🇵🗻 Morning: 252 yen - From accommodation to Shinjuku Station: 252 yen Total for 72 hours: 2,138 yen. Tokyo’s annual Christmas market, held from November 21 to December 25 at Shinjuku Outer-in and Shiba Park, adult admission fee 1000 yen, pre-order tickets on the travel platform also receive a commemorative cup, Meiji Jingu Kaoen with a red cup, Shiba Park with a green cup, you can use this cup to buy drinks. The 2025 event, themed "Grimm's Fairy Tales and European Stories", will be held at the Meiji Jingu Outer Garden and Kashiba Park.
