Hoshoji Temple's Ichiyou Raifu Amulet

Hojoji Temple was founded in 1635 as the head temple of Takada Hachiman Shrine. It is widely known and loved as the temple that originated the "Ichiyo Raifuku" ritual of giving thanks for the loan of gold and silver. Next to Hojoji Temple is Ana Hachiman Shrine, whose Ichiyo Raifuku charms are now more famous, and many people receive both the shrine and temple Ichiyo Raifuku charms as a set. I felt that this is typical of Japan, where there are many non-religious people. It is said that the Ichiyo Raifuku charm will bring prosperity in business and increase your financial luck, so hang it at home at exactly midnight on any of the three days that are convenient for you: the winter solstice, New Year's Eve, or Setsubun.
