French-American artist Louise Bourgeois' famous work "Arch of Hysteria." This suspended golden human sculpture was created in 1993 and is a headless, curved human figure with a golden sheen. Bourgeois (1911-2010) was one of the most important artists of the 20th century, creating a large number of installations, sculptures, paintings, and other works during her 70-year career. Her works often explore themes such as gender, body, memory, and trauma, and she has a unique ability to fuse opposing concepts. The work is currently on display at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo as part of the large-scale retrospective "The Woven Child." This is the largest solo exhibition of Bourgeois' work in Japan in 27 years, and it will run until January 19, 2025. Bourgeois also has a famous giant spider sculpture "Maman" in Roppongi, which is 10 meters high and has been a landmark of Roppongi Hills since 2003. She is considered a "survivor" who overcomes life's challenges through art.
