Tokyo, Japan - A luxury hotel like an art museum: Meguro Gajoen

#目黑雅宿园 This five-star hotel is like an art museum. It retains the Japanese elegance and combines modern craftsmanship to exude the elegance and luxury of a work of art. Once you step in, you will be amazed. Do you wonder if this is Tokyo? The reason why I chose to stay at Gajoen was because when I was traveling alone in Tokyo last year, I visited the #100-steps-staircase special exhibition at Gajoen. I was surprised at the time that the hotel had a small bridge, flowing water, a waterfall corridor, and a spectacular glass skylight. I thought to myself that I must come and stay here next time, and experience the free Art Tour which is only open three days a week, where a special person will take you on a guided tour of the entire Yaxu Garden. The quality of Yajoen is extremely high, but in terms of price, it is not among the top ten most expensive hotels in Tokyo. Even so, a night's stay will still cost you over NT$10,000. This time we stayed in a 20-ping deluxe twin room (which is the smallest, cheapest, and the least available), which can accommodate 2 people. The average room price excluding breakfast is around $15,000. Because the hotel price is floating, and I locked it in early, chose the free cancellation plan, followed the room rate every day, and combined with the rebate mechanism of Shopback and the level discount of Trip.com, I finally waited for a room rate of $11,700, plus an additional 10% cash rebate from Shopback and about 1.5% booking fee rebate from Trip.com. In total, I spent a little over $10,000 to stay, saving at least nearly $3,000! In addition to cash rewards, I also earned about 1,000 miles of mileage rewards from the E.Sun Co-branded Card. The booking process was very complicated and troublesome. I saved a lot, but in the end I got a very cheap price and was still happy! The deluxe room is a modern twin room with a large sofa, so it is no problem for two people to sleep in it! The curtains are actually electric. The moment the inner and outer curtains are opened, the beautiful scenery outside the window like a high-rise building comes into view. It is magical that the floor is only on the 7th floor, but because of the high terrain, it has the effect of adding a 10th floor. The cherry blossom viewing spot Meguro River is right next to it. It should be beautiful to stay there during the cherry blossom season! The bathroom, made of black patterned marble, is also extremely luxurious. The oversized bathroom space includes a jacuzzi, toilet area, shower area, and even a steam sauna area. It was really shocking. Because we noted that we were here to celebrate a birthday, the hotel also prepared small gifts: a box of handmade cookies that looked very expensive, elegant and exquisite colored paper and a paper crane, as well as a small card. It was really thoughtful. The comfort, cleanliness and details of the room are impeccable, and the bed is very comfortable to lie on. From check-in at 3pm to check-out at 12pm the next day, you don't want to leave Yaxu Garden at all. Other services include overnight room reservation service, which is only available in five-star hotels; dinner reservations at the restaurant downstairs through the hotel can also enjoy a 20% discount; and a 50% discount to visit the special exhibition of the Hundred Steps. But the most amazing thing is the morning art tour which is only held three days a week. A special person will take you to visit all the secret rooms in the Yaxu Garden. It is an incredible 1.5-hour process, and I think everyone’s phone never stops. The tour content is too much and too exciting, so I might as well write another article in the #雅叙园好震惊系列. #目黑雅宿园 is really the highlight of this trip, which makes people amazed and unforgettable. #Japan Exploration #Tokyo Accommodation #Yajuen Amazing Series
