The onset of spring transformed the region into a utopia, and wandering through Setagaya Park invigorated our spirits. Enveloped by breathtaking scenery in this serene sanctuary, we were captivated by the awe-inspiring vistas that consistently left us in awe, forging indelible recollections. In 1992, the renowned landscape gardener Ken Nakajima from Japan crafted the exquisite Setagayapark. For years, Vienna's Döbling district and Setagaya, a charming suburb of Tokyo, have shared a bond through twincity and cultural agreements. Nestled near a retirement home, the park mirrors the beauty of a Japanese landscape, complete with serene ponds, meandering streams, and lush garden elements. Visitors can admire a traditional Japanese tea house, a majestic "Yukimi style" stone lantern, intricate stone sculptures, and a captivating fountain. A poetic inscription in stone greets guests at the garden's entrance, adding a touch of elegance. The meticulously curated plantings featuring Japanese maple trees, ornamental cherry blossoms, and vibrant azaleas further enhance the park's allure.
