Omotesando, hailed as the Champs-Élysées of Japan and a luxury brand hotspot, is home to architectural works by renowned design firms from Japan and around the globe. Here, one can appreciate world-class architectural designs even without purchasing luxury goods, earning it the nickname 'a grand architectural museum'. It generally refers to the area approximately 1.1 kilometers in length from 'Omotesando Subway Station' to 'Omotesando Road', then to 'Harajuku Station' and 'Meiji Shrine', as well as the commercial areas along the route. This street is lined with over 20 architectural works by masters such as Kenzo Tange, Tadao Ando, Kengo Kuma, and Kazuyo Sejima, possibly making it the only street in the world to boast such a concentration of works by numerous architects.
