Tokyo Meguro River Cherry Blossoms on April 2, 2024

The cherry blossoms are basically only about 20% open, but it's almost there. Full bloom is probably still four to five days away. Among them, about 10% are more than half-open, which is very noticeable among the many unopened trees. It is recommended that everyone come back next weekend. Taking photos now is still possible, but the scene is like in picture 2. Additionally, the branches have been pruned, so you won't see the kind of images with cherry blossoms connecting on both sides that you find online. The lanterns also seem to have been removed, so there is indeed room for flexibility in this regard. It is still recommended to visit other places in the next few days.
