[Tokyo, Asakusa] A long-established pork cutlet specialty restaurant in Asakusa🐷

Katsukichi is a tonkatsu restaurant located in Asakusa. It's different from the usual tonkatsu, and the style here is to put ingredients between thin pieces of meat and deep fry them☝️ I had the standard miso tonkatsu set meal for 2,000 yen. Miso katsu is a Nagoya dish made with red miso, so if you imagine that, you might be surprised and say, "Eh! This is miso katsu!?"😆 The miso used is not heavy, and the batter on the katsu is light and crispy. So I was able to eat it without feeling oily! The set meal costs over 2,000 yen, so I wish the price was a little lower. Large portions of rice are free. I didn't know that and ate a regular portion, but the proprietress was kind enough to ask for a second serving of rice (free of charge) and even provided me with an additional small bowl!
