[Minato Seven Lucky Gods Tour] A pilgrimage to the shrines and temples of the Seven Lucky Gods and the Treasure Ship enshrined in Minato Ward. The tour takes place every year from New Year's Day to Coming of Age Day. This time, I received a goshuin and amulet. There is no set order for visiting. I hope this will be helpful in 2024! ① Hojuin (Benzaiten) Hojuin is located right in front of Tokyo Tower 🗼. The modern building is the landmark. ② Kumano Shrine (Ebisu) Kumano Shrine was rebuilt by Ota Dokan. When Dokan set out for battle and returned home in triumph, he offered sea bream and prayed for victory, which is why it is called Ebisu Inari. ③ Juban Inari Shrine (Treasure Ship) There is a stone statue of a treasure ship with the Seven Lucky Gods on board. A tour of the Seven Lucky Gods + treasure ship and eight other Seven Lucky Gods is very rare. ④ Daihoji Temple (Daikokuten) Dahoji Temple holds a festival on the Koushi festival day. There are many statues of Daikokuten! ⑤ Azabu Hikawa Shrine (Bishamonten) Enshrined by Ota Dokan. Behind the shrine is Motoazabu Hills Forest Tower, a sight unique to Minato Ward. ⑥ Sakurada Shrine (Jurojin) Founded in 1180 by order of Minamoto no Yoritomo. It is known as the tutelary deity of Shinsengumi member Okita Soji, who was born nearby. ⑦ Tenso Shrine (Fukurokuju) A historic shrine that dates back to the first year of the Shitoku era during the Nanboku-cho period. Also known as Ryudo Shinmei-gu, the dragon on the ceiling of the chozuya (purification fountain) is a sight to behold. ⑧ Hisakuni Shrine (Hotei-son) Hisakuni Shrine is said to have been enshrined by Ota Dokan.
