Kameido Tenjin Shrine holds a Chrysanthemum Festival every autumn! The Chrysanthemum Festival is held every autumn in honor of the deity, Sugawara no Michizane, who composed the poem "Remaining Chrysanthemums" when he was 16 years old. At the time, the Imperial Court held a "Remaining Chrysanthemum Banquet" where waka and renga poetry were composed.
