Tokyo. The State Guest House, Akasaka Palace, will be open to the public on certain days.

On its website, the State Guest House Akasaka Palace is described as the "culmination of Western-style architecture in the Meiji era" when it was built as the Crown Prince's Palace. It opened as the State Guest House in March 1974. It appears to have undergone a major renovation in the Heisei era to reach its current state. The State Guest House welcomes many international dignitaries, and in 2009, 100 years after its construction, many of its facilities, including the State Guest House Akasaka Palace Main Building, were designated national treasures. This time, I happened to visit the State Guest House on a day when it was open to the public. I was delighted to find out that the things I saw without any prior knowledge were designated national treasures, making it a valuable experience. The State Guest House is open to the public. You will have the opportunity to see a facility that Japan is proud of around the world. I would recommend this facility to both domestic and international travelers. The entrance for the public is in the direction of the West Gate. If you are unsure, ask a member of the staff and they will explain the location to you!
