After having fun at Tokyo Joypolis, we had lunch at Ryuuki, a Chinese restaurant located in the same Decks Tokyo Beach. It was Sunday, but it was after 2:30 p.m., so the place was empty. Prices are rising and the cost of eating out is getting higher and higher these days, but this place still offers reasonably priced set meals. If you show your Tokyo Joypolis ticket, you will be served a free soft drink. The lunch menu (standard set meal) is served from 11:00 to 15:00. It comes with rice, soup, almond tofu, and pickles. The first bite, coupled with the visual, made me think "Oh, so this is Sichuan style? It's spicy!!", but the spiciness was addictive and I ate it all to the end. I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy my favorite wood ear mushrooms along with the tender and delicious meat. The Twice Cooked Pork Set Meal is specifically labeled as authentic Sichuan style. I'm not familiar with tsukemono, so I was curious to know what other styles there are, and when I looked it up, I found that there are two: Sichuan style and Japanese style. I like it spicy, so I definitely prefer the Sichuan style Twice Cooked Pork. This was also piled high on my plate, but the unique spiciness was addictive and I enjoyed it all. I noticed later that the sign of the restaurant had "Diamond Cut Noodle Restaurant" written next to the name of Longji.
