Konno Hachiman Shrin

Konno Hachiman Shrine Located at 3-5-12 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, this Hachiman Shrine is said to have been founded in 1092. During the Edo period, it gained the faith of the Tokugawa Shogunate, and it is said that Kasuga no Tsubone, the wet nurse of the third Shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu, constructed the shrine gate and shrine building. The main hall and worship hall were built in 1612 and are designated tangible cultural properties by Shibuya Ward.
