Even though I generally do not like travelling with groups - your companies - Tibet was the exception I had to accept if I wanted to go. As foreigners we have to go we need a special permit that tours will help you obtain. These are pictures of many different places during my 9 day tour in Tibet. All tour companies provide more all less the same Itinerary to groups of foreigners with the highlight being Everest base camp. My general itinerary - Xining to Lhasa by train for slow gain in altitude - Lhasa - Shigatse - Gyantse - Everest Base Camp - Shigatse - Lhasa. - with famous places visits like the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Yamdrock lake etc. Be ready to spend most your time in a coach to move from place to place.
