China's "floating" park on water, known as the Northern West Lake

Located in Nankai District, the Water Park is the earliest and largest comprehensive park in Tianjin's urban area. Since its opening in 1951, it has a history of 72 years and is known as the Northern "Little West Lake". It carries the childhood memories of several generations of Tianjin residents who have enjoyed the spring flowers and boating on the lake, and it remains the favorite destination for Tianjin people to travel and exercise. Tianjin Water Park is a great place to see, enjoy, and play with water. The park is very large, covering an area of 200 hectares, of which the water area will reach 90 hectares. The three large lakes of East Lake, West Lake, and South Lake form the main layout of the park, with 11 islands scattered in the lakes. Delicate and intricate bridges span across the lakes, and pavilions stand tall and can be seen everywhere, looking like they are "floating" on the water from a high vantage point. Because the lake water is as clear as a mirror and there are many gardens imitating the style of the south of the Yangtze River, it has earned the reputation of the "Northern West Lake". The environment here is beautiful, with lush trees, tender and fresh lotus ponds, and even distinctive Japanese-style gardens. Although the various landscapes are complex, they are orderly. The amusement area of the park, with facilities such as roller coasters, sky flyers, and rapid river rides, is a great place for family entertainment.
